Educational Technology Blog Image

Dr. Chris Penny hails from Newcastle, England and primarily teaches educational technology courses. A former professional soccer player and a graduate of Penn State University with a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, Dr. Penny is an Apple Distinguished Educator and his efforts in teaching and research have the focus of technology integration into pre-service and K-12 education. In his most recent research project, Dr. Penny employed qualitative and quantitative methods to study the effectiveness of a one-to-one laptop initiative for pre-service teachers. Outside of teaching, research and service Dr. Penny enjoys spending quality time with his family and playing soccer.
